The serious involvement is when you go to fix it. Much better to get one already to rock. Sometimes they are as cheap as the 'junk" ones. Ask a boat owner who has done it.

Now, if you are one of those who will readily spend themselves for the joy of it, then the journey is the reward. Take it from one who knows--I've got 21 of them that followed me home----and I keep looking. Surprising how many are out there for the price of hitching them up to the hauler.

BTW: A guy just GAVE me a 77 450 SEL Estate (wagon) ! How's that for serendipidy. I'll be giggling for awhile.

(i'm STILL looking for theconversion to marine use of a 617 though)

I used to build them-thought not quite so big so I can spot one that is not worth the trouble.So where does one utilize a big ole boat up there--Platte river?
