Just noticed that my engine oil pan is quite remarkably rusted at the edges. Paint is flaking and rust is bubbled more than 1/16" in places - looks like it is rusted from the inside. Can't believe it isn't leaking!

This engine is in great shape. Oil is changed every year (c6,000 miles) and I always use top synthetic like Mobil 1, Pennzoil, Quaker State...

Is this pan double skinned?

I have to drive about 1,200 miles (leaving tomorrow) and there is no way I can get a new or used pan in less than a week.

Am I going to get stuck?
