Thank you

Just a quick thak you for those who offered their take on the 300CD I was interested in. I'm not an expert on body repair and I was a bit enamoured because the interior is really just about perfect and it only had 80,000 on it. But, I really don't want to drive a rust bucket even if it is structurally sound. To have the body work done for me does not make sense because I'd have to buy another car to drive while the MB would be getting done. Since the diesel last so well, I have decided that I should concentrate on finding a good clean example even if it has higher miles. I have never bought a car with over 100,000 on it and it does take some internal convincing to truly believe that it's ok. Properly maintained an MB diesel should last well beyond 100,000. But, saying that and feeling confident the first time is not that easy. This site is invaluable and I'll continue my search. I found a nice 300DT 87 with 159k on it and maybe I can take a look later this week.

Thanks again.
