Your sending unit is mounted to your oil fiter housing. It is not easy to get to but its the only place to start. I have seen 190s with oil pressure bypass valves stuck in the open position. These usually result from coolant in the oil. Look carefully at the condition of your oil, it might also be helpful to remove and cut open your oil filter to look for clues. As far as your oil pump failing, its not likely. The oil pump in a 190 is driven off of the crankshaft nose and the pump is built into the front cover.
