Cruise control switch on my 280K '88 300TE ready for replacement. Car has driver's side air bag in the wheel, and replacement of C/C switch requires steering wheel removal.

Though I consider myself a fairly competent tech, I have heard that removal of Steering wheel with air bag is best left to the pros due to the "explosive" nature of the gas generator.

Any comments?
