I just did a 4 speed manual transmission fluid change on a 1968 200D W110. The fill plug is difficult to access, but it is on the passenger side near the top. It is a plug with a 14mm hex key (allen) hole. I used a quart pump from the local auto parts store to get the fluid up there. As soon as the fluid started to run out (you fill up to the fill plug) I put the fill plug back in. I used Redline D4 (Dexron III) myself and it made it so much easier to shift. It may have even had gear oil in it before. I think it takes about 2 quarts--can't remember now.
