This is the black box with the electrical connection mounted to the back side of the fuel distributor. It's also called differential pressure regulator, and electrohydraulic actuator.

Anyway, mine's leaking and must be cracked (not visibly) since I first tried just new o-rings. My question is: can I just buy a new one and install it with no problems? I note that my CD-ROM shop manual says "adjust idle speed" as last step in replacing it. How likely is it that I'll need to do this and will the car even run after the replacement? I don't have tools to adjust idle and don't want to disable the car in my garage.
