I have the headliner out finally. I took my time, there are a lot of parts that have to come out, and I wanted to take it slow so as not to break anything.

It is surprising how thin the headliner board is, it is pretty fragile.

The old foam/glue mixture is very sticky, it took me some time to get the smears off of the MBTex with bug/tar remover.

I was planning to use a stiff brush to remove the old foam from the headboard, but with it being so sticky I am wondering what method you (that have already done this) used.

Also, the part of the headboard that clips into the 7 fingers of the sunroof is just a fold of the board and on mine it has cracked and separated. This seems to be a fairly important part of securing the headliner. Once I get the foam cleaned off it maybe I can hold it together with RTV?

I'll go and take a picture to show you what I am talking about.
