4000 seems allot cheaper then any diesel swap, finding a 606 with tranny probably cost more then that. But I have read some stories about Importing gone bad. I read the PDF file that someone posted and it seems confusing.

Does anyone know of any auto importers that already do it, I would like to evaluate all my options. I have seen a OM 606 on ebay, with out the tranny/

heres a reman. company...http://www.mercedesengines.net/products.asp?cat=44

Would that be 4000 just for importing, and would there be more costs for making it legal here.
