My brakes are stock and because it's a 500E they are 500SL brakes I believe. I haven't found a need for anything bigger yet.

There was no need to roll the rear fenders to get the 285's to fit, it's a matter of choosing the right offset or in my case the right size wheelspacer.

I did not change the front grille myself, the previous owner did, but at close inspection it's not a very high quality piece. Remember the hood was also changed to an E500 hood.
