It`s easy to update to the later style. go to the JY, PNP etc... and pull one from a 82 to 85 300D. I know for sure 84 & 85 have them. Just a simple R&R. I installed one on the 80 240D. never leaks or causes me any trouble. when it does weep, I just change the "O" rings. I probly should change at every filter change, but don`t.

I think the "O" rings are a better design than the crush washers. after while they gouge into the aluminium seat of the housing causing it to seal w/o a ton of force on the bolt to stop the leak.

there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.
