I have been chasing a gremlin in my '93 300CE for over a year. After replacing everything related to ASR problems and "limp home" I finally bit the bullet, pulled my ETA and sent it off for a rebuild at BBA Remanufacturing last February. When it came back we reinstalled it and the problem didn't go away. At this point I figured my ETA might have a defective unreplaceable pot so I found another used one and installed it. NO DIFFERENCE! So the problem is NOT with the ETA.
Having said all of that, I now have a spare rebuilt ETA that I would like to sell. It is a 000 141 49 25 (VDO 408.225/4/1) I would like $250 and I will pay the shipping. You also will get the BBA invoice so if you pretend you are me there is a lifetime warranty. Email me at anziani14@dc.rr.com
