I went to a salvage yard in Missouri today and I have been there before, they have 4 Mercedes there. One is a 198? 300D that is in bad shape, two 190Es and one 300E. I have gotton some parts off the 300E for my 300D and some parts from one of the 190E for my 190D. There is not many Mercedes in salvage yards around here so when I find one I get what I can. I got to the yard today and the 300E was there but it was smashed! There was so many good parts left on that car, I could not believe it. They also smashed one of the 190Es that had alot of parts too, why would they do this. I went in the office to ask them why they did this, his answer was the owner of the salvage yard hates German cars. What? I told them that they are throwing money away, he said that there is nothing he can do. What a waste of good parts. So now I have to look for another parts car. Sorry just needed to vent.
