I was under the impression that the whole cash for clunkers program cleared vast numbers of 123s out of yards, as older stock was crushed to make room for new stock. maybe not? There certainly are a lot less of them in yards than there were around here, but, that could be a consequence of a 123 not being a profitable yard vehicle.

The do seem to come and go in waves on CL though, even here in an incredibly rusty area there are usually 3-4 for sale every couple of months.
