I briefly worked for a small salvage yard in early 2008 inventorying their cars. The yard owner had repoed the yard from a contract buyer and didn't know what was there. In total there were just over 30 MB's of various years from a 60's 190D up to W126, lots of good parts. He wasn't interested in any of it and when scrap reached the level it did that year, after I left I might add, he had the whole yard crushed and hauled away.

In the end it was a waste of my time and a waste of good inventory, but he seemed to think he knew best when in reality he didn't know anything.

It was too bad, the whole yard was import and there was a plethora of Audi cars, some quattro, especially early 4k coupes and some turbo quattro 5k's as well. What a waste.
