I had the electronic transmission "brain" replaced on my '97 C280 to the updated software unit - to help with jerking shifts, hard shifts, etc. The dealership told me that the valve body in my car now is a "4" and the new tranny computer should match with a "6." My question is - should I have the 6 valve body put in? They said it wouldn't hurt leaving it the way it is. I just want to be sure. There haven't been any error codes for the transmission, so it working ok, just rough.
