'89 190E 5 Speed: New Benz, some questions

I know, I know- a cheap Benz might be the most expensive car you ever own, but for $700 I jumped, knowing the back story on the 1 owner car, the lack of rust and how clean the interior is. Drove the car and at 278k miles it is very clean, fast, and very functional.

First up is new front brake pads- the warning light is now on steady after 30 miles of driving and the pedal goes to the floor with little actual brake action. The parking brakes holds well, so I figure fronts first, then rears and a good flush. Thanks to all those who have posted about the brakes- I'm looking forward to this weekend, as I've only done the 300cd's, which are a bit different.

I can call MB re the radio code? The car came with the Becker demo tape but none of the radio info. I cant wait to hear the tape explain the radio!

Any recomendations on the 1/3 tank of 2 yr old gas? Siphon it out and use it for starting fires, or ad new gas and burn it through the system? Car starts and runs very well and I'd like it to stay that way.

Gotta say, before the brakes went I was really enjoying 5 speed after the Diesel Automatic....
