I'm putting the original Texas plates my MB came with when I bought the car new, 11-years ago in the trunk of the car - with a note that says; these are the original license plates that came on this car, and once this car reaches 25 years of age, they can be registered at the DMV/Tax Office anywhere in Texas and affixed to this car permanently.
Since I'm almost certain I won't own the car for 25 years.

I agree with you skid roe joe, but I'm not a fan of the new standard plate, I think the Columbia plate would be cool  I know license plates aren't a big deal, but I like to travel to different states and I want something cool to represent Texas with and be proud to display it. This new plate, just doesn't do it for me...
