I will most likely go down this route with the 280CE. I just hope that it wasn't butchered when it was federalized (Perhaps they were less stringent in 1980 then in 1985....then again I never did find out when the car was actually brought to the US so this might end up hurting)


I have much more experience with my diesel and haven't really had a chance to dive into the 280CE. Is there a post somewhere that details how to get at it? Also approximately how long would it take him to rebuild and calibrate the WUR? (Assuming it's an acceptable core)

Also I originally looked that the UTI upgrade as well but the owner of this 280 will probably never have any need to get that precise. Stock performance will be perfect.


And yes, under $300 is a heck of a much better deal then brand new (I checked the dealer prices for them....#1 they didn't know what it was at first but #2, once they found it....ouch)
