My 2 tank kit keeps the WVO at 180F in all weather and driving conditions, with a stock 80C thermostat. On W123's, IMHO depending on electrical heat is a *bad* idea - the stock alternator doesn't have much capacity left to run heaters. And electric heaters mean big power and fire risks.
