There is the tortion bar end repair if the end of the front bar breaks off from rust. look in the but parts tab, then click of special tools. it is listed under suspension.

Not cheap, but easier than replacing the bar on a SD.

The rear bar off a Euro 500SEL is a couple MM thicker than a U,S, Spec 500SEL. noted this at PNP one time.

Don`t know if the front bar is the same or not.
