Sorry if this was mentioned in your earlier thread. I didn't read the entire post.


I think that you may have an intake manifold gasket problem. Take some starting fluid and spray it around the entire manifold gasket. Your model probably has one gasket on each side. While you do this try to determine if the idle changes. If it does, then you have a gasket failure in the area that you were spraying the starting fluid.


Cross your fingers! You can also check if the intake manifold bolts are loose. If they are you most likely will have to remove the intake manifold to clean both surfaces and replace gasket since this problem has been ongoing for so long.
