Back when the price went silly before the crash, diesel got to $A 1.89 per liter. When empty my 300D takes 82 liters to fill, thats $A 155 to fill it ! The exchange rate was about .75 at the time, so well over $US 100 to fill. Its about $1.25 a liter at the moment & the exchange rate is about 1 for 1 so just over $100 to fill at the moment. I dont understand what you guys are complaining about.
I have a friend with a 1418 benz with a 4,000 gallon tanker trailer, I sometimes borrow it to get bulk loads. Thats over $15,000 in a fill. Dont think that counts for this thread though. We then get about $4,000 in rebates because its for off road use.
