The oil pressure is not low unless its below 1.5 bar @ idle, or does not jump up to 3 bar with a little throttle.
Also, synthetics will appear to be very thin even when cold... that is a benefit.
the shifting could be a few things. Look for a cable that comes up the passenger side of the engine. Try to get a sense of when this cable starts creating tension in reference to the beginning of throttle movement. It should make just a little bit of tension before the engine speed increases.
