Yup, I love my 603 wagon. It left me "standed" twice because of a bad voltage regulator. First time because it was worn out, second time because the replacement was a KAE and not bosch. Both occasions I was able to get a jump and drive wherever, so "stranded" may be TOO strong of a word. Actually there was one more time; when my transmission line blew. All this however is not so much related to Engine though!

Mine has nearly 190k on original 14 head and gasket and has been on Mobil 1 Synthetic since 160k and it loves it. Small leak from bottom seal of IP, and front seal of tranny, but the engine itself has never given me crap! it has plenty of get-up and nice and smooth compared to 617s!
