Hi all, some expertise please...

My '95 E420's left-side head rest has never worked (doesn't raise up and down with the switch on the door). I can hear the motor running when I move the switch, but no matter how I try to re-install the head-rest, the motor never 'grabs' the posts to re-engage properly.

The owners manual shows how to remove the headrests but makes no mention of a trick to get motor to grab onto it again when putting it back in....

Is there a trick to this?
