If you do not have air conditioning, I think the alternator should be readily accessible. The bracket is a little wierd, as I recall, so you might want to invest in a manual. I have not worked on this model car for so long, I cannot recall the actual issues but I do remember breaking the mounting ear off the alternator taking it out incorrectly a long time ago. Jim
