Thanks guys, it was the brake switch. Everything is working fine now. I live this site, there are so many knowlegable people that contribute and it seems I have been able to find an answer for any Mercedes problem I have had so far.

In five years the price of this switch has gone from $14 to $26 with tax. Now thats inflation, the dealers sure make it a given that they will always profit nicely with any OEM parts sold through them.
