It seems like if you waxed it, that would prolong the shine quite a bit longer. I guess if the anodizing is really gone and your down to the aluminum, trully there are only two things re-anodize ($$) or just clearcoat it. That's what most aluminum rims are, clearcoated, granted they still will corrode in time if not taken proper care of (waxed) but....

oh yea and I tried some Eagle One Mag Polish and it seemed to work pretty nice but wow, this is gonna take FOREVER . I don't have a dremel (rotozip, and without a doubt that's too fast. I tried this before on rims with the rotozip, non-pleasing results...) so right now I'm using my cordless hammerdrill with the little dremel bit.
