I see a few pedantic inaccuracies there (the 3.0l 5cyl is the older om617, the 2.5l 5cyl is the om602, etc), but the number one thing is 300hp is gonna be pretty darn expensive to get (the ip pump). And if you want that much then you may as well start with a whole om606 (you can swap the mechanical pump onto it).
