The seatbelt extender on my W124 convertible crapped out today. Sat down in the car and turned the key and an incredible noise started. Grinding at the seatbelt extender, drivers side. Belt does not extend. I fear the dealer. Any experience with this system? Sounds like something jumped the track, but I don't even know how to get at it.
