I am about to install a new hood pad on my '80 300SD. If you search around you can locate the 3M Super Trim Adhesive locally. Make sure you get the can of "super" rather than the general adhesive also sold by 3M. I checked with Pep Boys here and could only find the general and after going to several parts stores ended up picking up a can at the NAPA store. I have been told it will take one full can to do the hood pad.
