Up in Redwood country (Eureka and environs), I can highly recommend Specialty Foreign Auto in McKinleyville. Owner Craig Lemster is a MB Certified Master Tech who did his early training at dealerships in L.A. and eventually left the rat race to come north. Craig is a wonderful gentleman, with an infectious enthusiasm for his work, in addition to being old enough to have been trained in real diagnostic techniques and not just a parts changer. He owns a fully-restored 190SL, complete with matching luggage and concourse awards to show for his work. I have no connection there, other than as an enthusiastic customer.
