yelrah32,

What did the intake manifold look like inside?

Do you an EGR valve on your engine?

I am assuming you have a positive crankcase ventilation system that sends oil fumes from the valve cover into the air tract?

I have the intake off my 350 SDL and it was awful ... have had it at a machine shop for a week ... they soaked it and used cleaner device internally, but we only able to get part of the material off ... the combination of EGR and oil fumes had built up huge deposits - as much as 10-20% blockage at one spot.

You might consider routing the oil fumes to under the car ... it was one of the many recommendations I have received in addition to "fixing" the EGR.
