Also make sure the cap is "really" closed. One "click" after turning is "partially closed"...left in that manner, your system registers above-normal temps and the coolant hose collapses. Two "clicks" and the cap is completely closed, sealing the system.

I know it's obviously a dumb solution, but I went with mine like that for a week, dumbfounded as to why I had cooling problems and "collapsed-hose" syndrome...
