I have a gentleman who is interested in trading me a BMW 745i (Euro-spec) for my Alfa 2000GTV. Being barely familiar with BMWs, has anyone had any experience with this particular model? I understand that the 745 was known for tranny and climate control problems, but that's all I have heard. I guess they have self-leveling in the rear which is trouble-prone, but that's no big deal. The mill is a six cylinder with a turbo, said to produce somewhere between 270 and 300 horsepower. Maybe this will be the best bet for my 6.9 replacement? By the way, I decided against the '52 220. Underside was very rusty, and I certainly don't need any more project cars!! Thanks for any help anyone might have to offer!
