I would think that's probably a bad idea to try. First the mounting surfaces are generally not parallel. Second, over compression may lead to bladder damage and shortened life.
The normal procedure for installation is to remove the mounting bolts and use a thick piece of wood between a floor jack and the oil pan. (Assuming you don't have an overhead trolley and chain hoist
). You may also need to release the radiator shroud if you have one to clear fan blades. Gently raise the engine until there is enough clearance to remove the old mount. You may have to raise the engine a little more to get the new one in.
