First of all guys, if you have the newer style climate control panel, the one where it's just one rectangular box with the slots in the bottom corners, then you only need the radio keys, you don't need to remove the wood panels.
If it's the older style, where the climate control seems to be 3 seperate squares (wood between the 3 squares), then the wood needs to come off to remove the climate control push button panel.
Tipstas, you haven't been to "all" the Mercedes dealers, we aren't all pretty unfriendly, some of us like to help out when we can. Gross generalizations like that can really offend people. We all need to learn to be more tolerant.
