When I grew up as an adolescent there was an understanding, never spoken, that the high-testosterone boys had a quality that was recognized and emulated and respected.
I mean, in my world (middle-class, midwestern, middle-of-the-century, etc) boys wanted to grow up to be men and they were looking for guidance in doing so.
Now if that wrestler did not epitomize an aspect of classical masculinity then I've been deluding myself (here's the chance for certain folks to ridicule me).
