What did the ATF look like when you changed it?

This usually stays pretty clean. It shouldn't look too dark and shouldn't smell 'burnt'.

Are you sure the ATF level is right? It could be low, but would have to be very low.

It is checked in Park with the motor running after having idled for approx 5 min and having been shifted thru all gears with pause in each for a couple of seconds or more and repeat this a couple of cycles, then check level at dipstick. It should be at the Low mark for these conditions. High mark is only for Hot conditions after driving on freeway, etc.

Don't overfill.
