Correct. Everyone that argues against it doesn't own one, has likely never driven one and has likely never even driven
any turbodiesel with a manual.
I currently have a 3.07 in my 240 and I'm happy with it.
A 2.88 is a little too tall to use with the 240D flywheel, if you can get a genuine 300D flywheel it would be an "okay" match.
