The C 30 CDI AMG: the first ever diesel sports car

Available as a Saloon, Estate and Sports Coupé, the C 30 CDI AMG has raised the bar in the medium-size car category. The totally newly developed direct-injection turbocharged diesel engine with common-rail technology generates 170 kW/231 hp at 3800 rpm, whilst its maximum torque of 540 Newtonmetres is reached between 2000 and 2500 rpm.



The performance credentials of the C 30 CDI AMG belie its description as a die-sel-powered car. The Saloon and Sports Coupé cover the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds (Estate: 7.0 s), and boast a top speed of 250 km/h (Estate: 245 km/h). However, when it comes to economy, the AMG model is indisputably true to its diesel roots. NEDC combined fuel consumption stands at 7.6 l/ 100 km for the Saloon and Sports Coupé and 7.9 l/100 km for the Estate.
