Disconnect that battery cable. An airbag mishap is expensive in dollars as well as teeth. It's probably worth sending off for one of those hooks like they sell in the Performance Products catalogue (probably have them on this site too). I bent some bicycle spokes and it worked, but the ones you buy are narrower and fit in better. You can ruin it (take a big chip out of the panel) if your wire isn't seating behind there really well. It's probably silicon'd in there, so you've got to be able to pull pretty hard.
