You won`t need Hog Ring pliers to remove the cover, but you will need some Dykes to cut the existing Hog Rings. there is a good dozen rings under the MB Tex that holds the white cloth to the foam pad. I think you will be standing on your head trying to cut them off.

It would be easier to remove the seat from the car. Electric seats can be a problem in the yard to remove if the seat is over the bolts.

I use a 14.4 volt drill battery, an some cheap Harbor Frieght Digital $3 volt meter leads. cut off the ends, soldered on some connectors to fit the battery.
this works good for window regulators and blower motors etc....

While you are in there working on the seat, and the springs are weak or broken, the passenger seat box frame will fit on the drivers side. just need to swap the rails. take pictures as you take it apart.
