Ok, 1982 in red. Original 300GD Europa import (One of 12 I believe) Engine is still original.
The good-I got it for a fair price
Underside is clean
Back seat is clean
The Bad-
Odometer is stuck but it has around 100,000 miles on it.
No hard top (Yet
)
Rust is the usual G places but nothing that will cause problems for another year or so. (Except the rear tailgate which i'm afraid to put too much pressure on)
Engine does not start (Glow plugs issue is likely culprit)
Soft top needs repairing
The 2nd owner seemed to think that he could run it on a shoe string budget so it's a bit of a mess. He also didn't seem to be too bright about some basics; for example he said-
"I thought glow plugs never go bad?"
The engine is leaking at the back and the tranny looks like it also has a leak.
Also it was never waxed (WTF
)
