I'm contemplating replacing the clanky steering coupler on my w115 76 300D. I've stared at it and read lots of posts on here about the topic. Most folks seem to drop the steering box one way or another. Some talked about removing the steering column instead.

Anyone have any thoughts on the topic? I'm tempted to try the steering column route.
