Mercedes has pulled licensing to reproduce the motors, and they are going to get VERY PRICEY soon...
methinks I'll pull and store those before scrapping my cars too... and I'll pull the ones in my drivers and clean/oil/grease them for longevity!
bearing failure is the big problem with the motors, the bearing is built into the frame of the motor, not a press in separate bearing... so clean yours and lube it!
