I knew the auto N/A 300's had the 3.46
and all but the 85 turbo 300's had the 3.07 (85 has the 2.88)
My 1995 edition of MERCEDES-BENZ Production Models lists only the 3.46 for the non-turbo W123 300D/TD- manual or automatic. Confirmed by my just-completed inspection of my '84 5-speed TD and it has 3.46 stamped on the diff-case.
