I've actually ridden on one of those seriously souped-up B-series Cummins Dodges...quite impressive. I drove one once, with some relatively minor mods. Fastest vehicle (g@$ or diesel) I've ever driven. And 500K easy-to-do miles to boot. And people wonder why I want to put a 6BTA in my F-250...

Actually, I wonder how a 4BTA would do for mileage in a 123? Especially if an overdrive tranny was put in place...? Even the 4 cylinder 3.9l version's gotta have enough juice to move a 300D at the same speeds as a 617 would, with enough of an overdrive ratio. Hmm...wonder what kinda RPM's (and therefore mileage) that would be able to do at 70...?
