I went to see this '71 250c yesterday:

It's a parts car or scrap. The owner has evidently never looked under the car or is being less than truthful about its "excellent body". The undercarriage is completely rusted out and the structure is compromised. Exhaust is totally shot. The front end will need a complete rebuild and the subframe mounts are toast. The head appears to be shaved below spec. The front windshield has no seal. The carbs had over $1000 in work and the engine (according to the owner) still doesn't run right.
On the bright side, the camshaft looks OK and the interior is pretty good. Not much rust on the upper body with an OK respray. Didn't bother checking for bondo or trying to start the car.
